Daily Prayers in the Musallah (On-Campus Prayer Hall) 

  • Exclusive Musallah Access for all On-Campus and Nearby Off- Campus Students
  • Read Quran, Perform Salah, Meet up with MSA Brothers and Sisters
  • Contact the Masjid Affairs Officer to Register for Musallah Access

Jummah (Friday Prayers On-Campus Every Week during the Academic Year) 

  • Usually in Cole Field House OR Nyumburu Culture Center (both are next to the STAMP Student Union)
  • We offer an earlier prayer in the Musallah for those who can't make it to the main Jummah prayer
  • Check the Weekly E-Newsletter or Twitter for Times & Location

Quran Classes - Every Friday  

  • Sisters Only and Brothers Only Quran Classes 
  • For ALL Levels - Beginners to Experienced
  • Learn to Read the Quran, Memorize Ayats and Tafsir 
  • Instructors can work with each student on an individual basis to practice during the week 

Islamic Lectures (Halaqas)  

  • Free Educational Program open to the campus community 
  • Our speakers cover a wide range of topics such as the HereAfter, Tafsir of the Quran and more!

Capital-Area Islamic Library (CAIL)   

  • Located in the Musallah (0204 Cole Field House) 
  • Islamic books, CDs, DVDS, and VHS Tapes 
  • Patrons can check out materials with a CAIL Library Card 

Al-Nur (Official Publication of the MSA) 

  • A well established newsletter created by and for the students 
  • All MSA members are welcome to submit articles and creative pieces to the newsletter 
  • Please send all submissions to msa.nur [at] gmail.com

On-Campus Outreach - Da'wah (Calling Muslims and Non-Muslims to Islam)  

  • Volunteer with the Da'wah Committee to increase awareness about Islam on-campus
  • Reach out to a thriving community of over 20,000 students!  
  • Learn to answer questions about Islam

All of the services above are provided by the members of the Muslim Students' Association at the University of Maryland, College Park. The Muslim Students' Association strives to provide meaningful services that reflect the needs of it's members and the campus community. All of the Services above are open to the general campus community and do not require any membership affiliation to the organization.
